As the Area Representative of the Adirondack Region, Adam Orr is excited to see who God puts in his path as he travels around the Northeast area and meets new people.

“FCA gives me a greater perspective and an awesome network of staff members when reaching coaches and athletes for Christ,” says Orr. “I have always felt a strong calling to ministry through athletics. Outside of my faith in God alone, it is the culture of coaching and competition in sports that have had the most impact on my life. Coaches, both Christian and non-Christian alike, have guided me through wins and losses and helped me become a better man during my most formative years. It’s my mission to carry out that legacy to other coaches and athletes and to use sports as a vehicle to share the Gospel.”

Orr was raised in Saratoga Springs, New York and grew up as a multi-sport athlete. He attended Siena College where he played Division One football and graduated with a degree in English and Philosophy in 2001. After graduation, Orr went on to coach lacrosse and football at Queensbury High School, where he currently works. “Working as a coach has been an outstanding experience,” says Orr. “I’ve been involved at every level of coaching within the school, as well as, in the community with youth sports. My goal is to guide our program with a Christ-like character, both on and off the field. I’m really excited to see lives changed through mentoring and guidance.”

Orr lives in Queensbury with his wife, Kateri, and two sons, Brendan and Andrew. He enjoys road trips and hiking the High Peaks region in the Adirondacks with his family.
