JUSTIN HAMM
AREA REPRESENTATIVE - ALBANY, NY
PROSPECTIVE STAFF
As an FCA Area Representative of Albany, NY FCA, Justin Hamm is focused on connecting coaches and athletes to the truth of the Gospel and the life-changing power of Jesus.
“Being involved in athletics has taught me so much about how to live this life from a practical standpoint-working hard, discipline, sacrifice, etc. However, there is a deeper opportunity to show athletes who Jesus is and equip them to live Godly lives while being intense competitors. Partnering with local coaches as they try to lead their teams in the 21st century world we will live, will allow them to impact their squads for Christ while also creating a support of like-minded coaches in the region.”
Hamm grew up playing soccer, basketball, and track in high school. He was a two-time Section 2 Class C goalkeeper of the year in soccer as well as a 1,000 point scorer in basketball. After high school he attended Clarks Summit University in Clarks Summit, PA. While at CSU, he played one year of basketball and one full year of soccer.
In 2015 he began coaching at Margaretville Central School as an assistant boys’ varsity soccer coach, a position Hamm held for three full seasons. That led to him being the junior varsity girls head basketball coach for three seasons. In 2021 Hamm once again became an assistant boys’ varsity soccer coach at Middleburgh Central School, boys junior varsity co-head basketball coach, and modified track coach.
Justin is currently the Executive Director of a community-based non-profit that specializes in substance use prevention and offers recovery support to those looking for help.
As a coach of multiple sports most of his free time is spent in a gym or on a field, in his opinion there is no better place to be.
